Weddings Made Easy – Part 5: Stress Less
STRESS LESS
Stress is almost BOUND to come into play. Even with a planner and a strong support system; some things can and even will go wrong. But, that doesn’t mean it won’t work out for your wedding. Maybe your flowers didn’t get ordered in time, maybe your cake designer mixed up order dates. No excuse for them, but things happen. It will all work out in the end. More times than not the party responsible will do what they can to make amends, and you will STILL get married 🙂 Remember that. No matter what happens, at the end of the day, you will both be married. 😀
If you’re having a short engagement (under 10 months) then you could possibly be in for a slightly hectic time line. No big deals here though. I mean, Chayil and I only had a 7-month engagement. It’s doable for sure. A couple of ways to fight stress in this situation is to corral a team of friends to help with an and every detail of the wedding. Delegate planning needs to different people so everything can almost be done at once. Also, use Pinterest when trying to decide on themes and ideas for the wedding.
If you’re Mr. or Mrs. popular then you may also have a lot of people coming (or wanting to come) to your wedding as well. This is great, a beautiful thing, but not necessarily for your pockets. When the tab for food comes around, feeding 300 people can get a little pricey. A good way to bypass these issues, and pesky invite hoarders, is by making your actual ceremony an open invite, and the reception RSVP only.
FINALLY
End all be all, you want your day to run as smoothly as possible. I want it for you as well! If you make sure you do at least this one thing I’m sure you’ll be just fine!
Talk to you soon!
